Boy, how 4 years have flown by! (And I haven't taken to time to write a blog post since then)
First off, I want to thank all of the agents at Whaley Realty, seriously thank you. I have been blessed with some amazing humans around me. We have such a great mix of levels of experience, 40-year-plus veterans to newbies, who all work their tails off. When I first decided to open Whaley Realty, I had no idea if anyone would ever join the office but I am so lucky that we currently have 4 other fantastic agents. We wouldn't be where we are today without them!
Next, to all of the 649 clients and customers we have been able to serve, thank you. Each client or customer has also been a blessing to us and always a learning experince. I am a firm believer that with every home in Americus, GA we sell, we need to be a little bit better than before. Every week we have a meeting to learn something new and is a time for fellowship and networking with our agents. I have grown and learned so much since opening this company and still love learning every day. Continuing education and designations are the foundation of continuing to grow in this business. Within the office, we have the following: Certified Real Estate Broker, NAR Committed to Excellence, At Home With Diversity, Graduate Realtor Insitute, Short Sales & Forclosure Resource.
The last few years have been a true whirlwind! The market has completely changed from when we opened the doors. In the Americus and Ellaville real estate markets in 2019 we had many listings available, and today we are averaging less than 40 active residential listings at a time as an entire market. We had to rethink the way we market properties and find buyers for our listings.
When I started Whaley Realty I said that I wanted to provide agents with the assistance to make their time management easier, and we have been very successful at that with our amazing office managers we have been blessed with. We continue to work at incorporating the newest technology to better educate and assist our Realtors and community. I can't help but to feel so lucky and blessed to do what I do everyday!
In my personal life, since my last blog post, I have also been blessed with two amazing little boys and that's been a game changer. One of my favorite authors, Simon Sinek wrote the book Start with Why and my why has expanded from my wonderful wife Morgan and the desire to be a broker who makes to agents lives better to both of those plus making my boys proud of their dad and to lead by example. One final time, I want to thank my family, the agents, and all of the clients for everything!
